An Israeli victim of a stabbing attack became the latest casualty of nearly six months of Israeli-Palestinian violence, Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Thursday.

TEL AVIV (Sputnik) – The latest casualty was one of two Israelis stabbed inside a supermarket in Shaar Binyamin north of Jerusalem.

"21 year old Israeli who was stabbed in terrorist attack & taken to hospital in serious condition died of his injuries in Jerusalem hospital," Rosenfeld tweeted.

Two Palestinian suspects in the attack have been shot, he added. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the two presumably 14-year-old Palestinians have been hospitalized.

Israel has been facing a wave of violence since early September 2015, which has left nearly 200 people dead. Most of the victims are Palestinians, who have been killed in knife, firearm and car attacks on Israelis. A total of 32 Israelis and one US citizen are estimated to have been killed by Palestinians since October 2015.
