The Doctors Without Borders, or Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), has reported that one of its facilities in the Syrian province of Idlib was destroyed during airstrikes Monday morning.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At least eight staff members of the hospital are missing after the airstrikes.

"An MSF-supported structure in Marat Al Numan #Idlib was destroyed this morning in airstrikes. We are gathering more info," MSF said on its Twitter account.

"The destruction of the hospital leaves around 40,000 people without medical services in an active zone of conflict," the statement said.

Last week, at least three people were killed and six wounded in airstrikes on a MSF-supported hospital in the Daraa province in southwestern Syria.

Syria has been mired in a civil war since 2011, with government forces loyal to President Bashar Assad fighting a number of opposition factions and terrorist groups, such as Daesh and al-Nusra Front.
