MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Sunday, the European Union, the United States and the United Nations lifted sanctions against Iran after the IAEA verified Tehran’s compliance with a nuclear agreement reached in July 2015 with six world powers, including the United States, Russia, China, France and the United Kingdom and Germany.
"The Board’s provisional agenda relates to verification and monitoring in the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015)," the statement reads.
The meeting will take place at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna at 10:30 a.m. local time (9:30 GMT) behind closed doors. IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano is scheduled to give a press conference at 2:30 p.m. local time.
