BETHLEHEM (Sputnik) — Skirmishes erupted north of the ancient Palestinian town of Bethlehem after the funeral of a 21-year-old Palestinian who was killed by Israeli soldiers.
"Around 50 Palestinians were wounded this evening in clashes that broke out north of Bethlehem," the source in the health charity said.
The health worker said those attacked sustained light to medium injuries. Israeli troops used stun and tear gas grenades, and fired rubber bullets at them.
The new spat of violence in the West Bank has killed 120 people since last September, most of them Palestinians, who were killed in knife, firearm and car attacks on Israelis.
