There is currently no information on whether any Russian citizens were among injured by explosion in Istanbul, according to the Russian Embassy's spokesman Igor Mityakov.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Consulate General in Turkey is seeking to clarify whether any Russian citizens were injured in the explosion that shook Istanbul earlier in the day, the Russian Embassy's spokesman Igor Mityakov said Tuesday.

Huge Explosion Hits Central Istanbul, Casualties Reported

"There is currently no information on whether any Russian citizens were among those injured. Our Consulate General in Istanbul is clarifying the matter," Mityakov told RIA Novosti.

At least 10 dead and 15 injured have been reported after an explosion in Instanbul’s historical center in the city’s central square, according to Istanbul authorities.
