On Wednesday, the British parliament voted in favor of extending airstrikes against Daesh to Syria.
"Just yesterday our campaign to destroy Daesh grew stronger when the United Kingdom voted to join coalition forces to striking targets in Syria and we welcome the UK's decision followed by the announcement by Germany to commit more troops and resources to this fight," Kerry said at the Ministerial Council conference of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
Kerry added that these steps were clear signs of the international community's unity.
The United Kingdom has been conducting airstrikes against Daesh positions in Iraq since September 2014, as part of a US-led international coalition against the extremist group, which is prohibited in Russia.
Russian Aerospace Forces has been carrying out a separate air campaign in Syria targeting positions of Daesh, outlawed in Russia, since late September upon the request of Damascus.
