    US Navy Spy for Israel Released After 30 Years in Prison

    A former US Navy officer, imprisoned in the United States for 30 years on espionage for Israel, has been released from a US prison, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Friday.

    TEL AVIV (Sputnik) – Jonathan Pollard was arrested in 1985 and admitted to handing over secret information to Israel, the volume of which was never exposed.

    “After three long and difficult decades, Jonathan is finally reunited with his family,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.
