On Monday, two Palestinians were killed in a gunfire exchange with IDF personnel in the West Bank’s Qalandiya refugee camp, between Ramallah and Jerusalem.
The battle with fighters of Fatah-affiliated Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades lasted for at least one hour, Al Jazeera reported. The incident occurred after hundreds of Israeli soldiers and special forces raided the camp and demolished a house belonging to an alleged terrorist.
The latest wave of violence in the region started in early October. It has already claimed lives of nearly 90 Palestinians and 13 Israelis.
