Russia's Worst Air Accident: A321 Crashes in Sinai (273)

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation of Egypt, the Cairo International Airport has successfully passed a security inspection amid A321 plane crash investigation.

CAIRO (Sputnik) — Cairo International Airport, as well as the Egyptian Civil Aviation Agency, a subordinate of the Civil Aviation Ministry, and a number of airlines operating at Cairo air harbor have successfully undergone a security inspection organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Ministry of Civil Aviation of Egypt said in a statement.

This inspection was agreed upon by Egypt and ICAO at the beginning of 2015 and lasted for 8 days (November 3-12), according to the Thursday statement, obtained by RIA Novosti,

Earlier in November, a number of states, including the United Kingdom and Russia, imposed bans on flights to Egypt due to suspicions that the Russian Airbus A321 passenger plane crashed as a result of a terrorist attack.

The Russian Airbus A321 passenger plane crashed on October 31, en route from the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All 224 people on board were killed. The crash is the biggest air disaster in the history of Russian and Soviet civil aviation and one of the 30 most deadly air disasters of all time.
