Ukraine isn’t the only place where Star Wars characters roam freely in the street trying to get elected to the Verkhovna Rada. Turns out ISIL has its own Darth Vader, and not one, but many.

Things have gotten bizarre after Turkish police found a number of Darth Vader masks in one of the houses occupied by ISIL terrorists, the Hurriyet Daily News reported.

When conducting a search in a house rented by ISIL militants, the local police in southeastern Turkey found Darth Vader plastic masks.

According to the source, ISIL fighters used the masks to protect their faces from shrapnel during attacks.

The police raided the house on Monday as part of a major anti-terrorist operation in which two policemen and seven ISIL militants were killed.

The discovery of ISIL-related Darth Vaders comes amid the past weekend's elections in Ukraine during which a number of Star Wars characters were seen trying to get elected into the Ukrainian parliament. One of them, Chewbacca was even arrested in Odessa for driving without documents. Later a mighty wookiee warrior was fined for 170 hryvnia ($7).

The Ukrainian Darth Vader came to defend Chewbacca, stating that the wookiee doesn't need documents because he's a general servant and a pet, the Guardian reported.
