The US-led international coalition should use the north-eastern Syrian territories held by the Kurds in their fight with the Islamic State, Salih Muslim, the co-chairman of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), said Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The politician stated that the Syrian Kurds could offer training and support for the coalition troops but would not fight ISIL themselves.

"We would welcome the coalition to operate from Rojava [the Kurdish liberated area] and we would welcome the Free Syrian Army to train there too," Muslim said in an interview with Sky News television channel.
