"This is not true. Such rumors are 100 per cent false," the source in Hezbollah told RIA Novosti, adding that the rumors are a part of the psychological war that had been waged after Hezbollah's achievement in the Qalamoun region.

In a comment to Sputnik, a source in the hospital refused to speculate on the situation saying only that "nothing unusual happened in the hospital."

On Tuesday, Hezbollah fighters along with the Syrian government forces took control of two strategic hills in the Qalamoun region on the Syria-Lebanon border.

Since early May, Syrian opposition and country's government forces supported by Hezbollah have been fighting for Qalamoun.

Hezbollah is a Lebanese Shiite political party and militant group established in the 1980s to fight Israel's occupation of Lebanon. The group is considered a terrorist organization by Israel and certain Western countries.
