The Islamic State apparently killed 20 militants, accused of joining Shia militias fighting against the radical Sunni group in the Iraqi province of Kirkuk. The execution took place in the town of Hawijah, according to local officials.
Islamic State militants published the photos of the killing online. The grizzly images show people hanging from what looks like a communications or electricity tower.
