Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants razed yet another historical mosque in the Iraqi city of Mosul, IRNA news agency reports.

The Hamou al-Qadu mosque, dating back to 1880 C.E., was bulldozed to the ground, a local official said.

Last month, the jihadis blew up the oldest mosque in the province of al-Anbar and another mosque in Mosul was demolished in January.

The group started its campaign of terror in Iraq in early June 2014 taking control of Mosul before sweeping through parts of the country’s Sunni Arab heartland.

The militants have been carrying out horrifying acts of violence, including public beheadings and crucifixions, against all communities such as Shias, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians.
