Unknown attackers fired four rockets at the international airport just outside of Labraq, from which anti-Islamist general Khalifa Haftar’s forces, launch their raids against militants’ position in the east.
The rockets fell short and there were no casualties or damage done to the airport.
The airport has been targeted repeatedly in recent months. Labraq is about 65 kilometers west of Derna, the Islamic militants’ stronghold. The airport near Labraq is one of the few airports still operating in Libya, after facilities in Tripoli and Benghazi were put out of action due to continuing clashes in the country.
