Political negotiations between Yemen's Shia Houthi militia and its political rivals resumed on Monday in an increasingly tense atmosphere as two of the parties walked out, Reuters reported.
"We will not return to the table of negotiations. He wanted to impose the choices of the group by force," the Nasserite Organization's chief Abdulla al-Noman told reporters, reacting to the Houthi representative's attitude.
According to al-Noman, the Houthi representative, Mehdi al-Meshaat, "threatened to take measures" against the Nasserite Organization as well as al-Islah, a Sunni Islamist party, according to AFP.
Yemen's Houthi militia took over the country's government February 5, after the group's ultimatum to the country's president to resolve deadlock in implementing a power-sharing agreement expired.
