Following the latest round of talks between Iran and the P5+1 group held in Vienna that did not produce a comprehensive deal on Iran's nuclear program, the country's Foreign Affairs Minister Mohammed Zarif said the next round of talks would be held at the deputy level.

MOSCOW, December 10 (Sputnik) — The next round of talks between Tehran and the P5+1 group over Iran's nuclear program will be held at the deputy level, Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Mohammed Zarif said Wednesday.

Zarif stated that work is under way to set a date in December for the resumption of talks, adding that these will be deputy-level negotiations and expressing hope that a comprehensive deal will be reached, as quoted by Iran's Press TV network.

"We have repeatedly said that if there is political will and there are no excessive demands, we will be ready to accept a logical, fair and rational solution, as highlighted by Leader of the [Islamic] Revolution [Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei]," Zarif was quoted as saying by the state-run broadcaster.

The latest round of talks between Iran and the P5+1 group of international mediators held in Vienna did not produce a comprehensive deal on Iran's nuclear program by the November 24 deadline. The sides agreed to extend the Geneva agreements signed in November 2013 and continue their dialogue until July 2015.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Monday that new talks between Iran and the group comprising Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China and Germany will be held in a currently undetermined location before the year's end.
