    According to the website sismologue.com, the quake struck at 9:03 am local time 55.82km away from Pozo Perdido, which is the nearest city to the epicentre.

    A 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit near the coast of Northern Chile, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has reported. 

    ​The earthquake struck at 9:03 am local time, with the city of Pozo Perdido being the nearest one to the epicentre of the quake, sismologue.com web site says.
