    MEXICO CITY (Sputnik) - As many as six people were injured after a homemade bomb accidentally detonated on a passenger bus in Guatemala's capital, local media reported citing police.

    A 19-year-old woman apparently brought the explosive device aboard the bus with the purpose of extorting money from the driver, according to the Prensa Libre media outlet.

    The authorities are yet to establish whether the woman, who lost her arms, belongs to a criminal gang, the media outlet reported.
