MEXICO CITY (Sputnik) – According to the minister, changes made to the 2015-approved plan have allowed to increase the total area of oil fields to be put up for tender in the country by 2 percent and to increase the volume of the country’s prospective reserves by 10 percent.
"With this five-year plan we can go from 38,844 billion to 42,681 billion barrels of crude equivalent of prospective resources," Coldwell wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
Currently, Mexico produces about 2 million barrels of crude a day.
