An offshore supply vessel picked up four people who jumped from an oil platform which caught fire early on Thursday in the Gulf of Mexico.

No Risk of Oil Spill From Pemex Tanker on Fire in Mexican Gulf
MOSCOW (Sputnik) A Coast Guard team has been dispatched to the site, with four offshore supply vessels, including the one that picked up the four people from the platform, fighting the fire, WSFA 12 broadcaster reported, citing US Coast Guard.

The cause of the fire is reportedly unknown and oil spill response teams are heading toward the site of the incident.

According to the broadcaster, the platform was about 80 miles south of La Grand Isle in the south of Louisiana.
