Bolivian Lawmaker Says Fidel Castro's Ideas Will Live for Years to Come

Those people, who are joyful over Fidel Castro's death, are cheating themselves, because the ideas of the Cuban leader will remain actual throughout several generations, the first vice president of Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of Bolivia's parliament, told Sputnik on Sunday.

MEXICO CITY (Sputnik) — Fidel Castro, one of the world’s longest-serving leaders, died late Friday at the age of 90. His death was announced by his brother and the incumbent Cuban president, Raul Castro.

"Those, who are dancing and expressing joy over Fidel Castro's death are deceiving themselves, because the principles and ideas of the Cuban revolution will remain alive. They are rejoicing in vain, because Fidel's ideas are embodied at the Cuban people and they will survive several generations," Victor Borda said commenting on the behavior of the Cuban exile community in Miami following Castro's death.

A funeral ceremony has been scheduled for December 4, and will be held at a cemetery in Santiago de Cuba. Cuba has received a flood of condolences from leaders around the world, including from Russia and the United States.

Following this news, hundreds of Cubans living in Miami paraded through the city expressing joy and cheering Castro's death.
