MEXICO CITY (Sputnik) — According to Agencia Brasil public news agency, Anastasia presented his report, containing 441 pages, to the committee earlier in the day.
The vote on the continuation of the impeachment process within the committee is scheduled for August 4, while on August 9, the report will be considered by the Senate, the upper chamber of Brazil's parliament, which on August 29 will open trial for Rousseff impeachment.
The upper house of the Brazilian parliament voted 55-22 earlier in May to start impeachment proceedings against Rousseff after she was accused of concealing the country’s budget deficit ahead of the 2014 re-election.
The 68-year-old president has been suspended from office for 180 days, pending trial. Vice President Michel Temer is assuming presidency during that period.
