Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has raised his voice in support of ousted Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff. He also posted a photo of himself holding a T-shirt bearing the name of Brazil’s ex-President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

"A soldier of Lula and Dilma," Maradona's caption with the photo reads in Spanish, Italian and English.

On the photo posted on his Facebook account, Maradona is holding a jersey of the Brazilian national team with the name of “Lula” emblazoned on its back along with N18 symbolizing the 2018 elections when the ex-President will try to bring his Workers’ Party back to power.

Diego Maradona has recently been a vocal supporter of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.

The photo, posted ahead of Monday’s a planned visit to Buenos Aires by the new Brazilian Foreign Minister José Serra, quickly went viral on Latin American social networks.

During scheduled meetings with his Argentine colleague Susana Malcorra, Finance Minister Alfonso Prat-Gay and President Mauricio Macri.

Mr. Serra is expected to thank them for their support to the new Brazilian Cabinet formed shortly after the suspension of Persident Dilma Rousseff and the start of impeachment proceedings against her.
