MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on Tuesday that a US reconnaissance plane had violated the country’s airspace.
"Our Air Force has recently detected an illegal invasion of a US Boeing 707 E-3 with electronic surveillance capabilities," Maduro said during a videoconference from Caracas.
The South American nation’s leader indicated that this type of aircraft was used to provide aerial support to ground troops.
