MEXICO (Sputnik) — According to the Prensa Libre news portal, the Fraijanes prison inmates captured on Monday 19 security guards and the prison director, asking to renovate their prison cells and fix television sets, among other demands.
Local authorities are currently holding negotiations with the prisoners, the media outlet added.
A riot in another Guatemalan prison, Chimaltenango, claimed the life of one person and injured at least two guards.
