MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Informacion news portal, the tragedy took place about 870 kilometers (540 miles) from the Cuban capital of Havana.
The accident claimed lives of seven women, five men and a minor, whose age was not specified, the news outlet said.
Moreover, five individuals out of 34 sustained serious injuries, it added.
Police arrived at the scene to investigate the causes of the crash.
