MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The sad event occurred near Salta, a city about 1,500 kilometers (932 miles) north of Buenos Aires.

The bus crashed down a bridge, falling at about 20 meters (65 feet) into a riverbed, with at least 50 people inside the vehicle, the M24 Digital news portal said.
Argentine President Mauricio Macri expressed condolences to the families of the victims in a statement issued after the tragedy.
"It's for this reason that we need to improve the roads so that this doesn't keep happening," the statement read.
Following the crash, the rescue operation in the area was launched.
