Hermitage: A Chest of Treasures 

In 2014 the Hermitage marks its 250th anniversary. From Impressionist masterpieces to Oriental antiques, the museum is home to a collection of over 3 million items. You will need eleven years to view everything it has on display.  Russia’s largest museum survived a devastating fire, the October revolution and Nazi’s bombings, constantly expanding and renovating. A cultural jewel box, an architectural masterpiece, a historical legend, the Hermitage is often compared to a phoenix.
