In March, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel announced a series of restrictive measures to fight the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, although the measures have been gradually eased nationwide since then.

Live from Munich on Saturday, 12 September as people have gathered for a protest to denounce the coronavirus restrictions.

The Munich Administrative Court has limited the maximum number of participants of the protest to 1,000, but the organisers are reportedly expecting over 5,000 people to attend.

While the restrictive measures have been eased, Germany reported a significant increase in coronavirus infections last week.
