The German government previously eased some of the pandemic restrictions but maintained a ban on major events until the end of October, meaning the cancellation of the legendary beer festival Oktoberfest, as well as other holidays.

Members of the German Showmen Association (Deutscher Schaustellerbund), as well as all those dissatisfied with coronavirus restrictions, hold a rally in Berlin, opposing the ban on major events in the country amid the pandemic. The current restrictions have put holiday markets and event organisers out of work, as they can't attract tourists to events.

At the moment, the centre of the German capital is blocked, as protesters gathered around 300 vehicles to the rally.
