The trip to the United Kingdom marks the French president’s first official visit to the country since the eruption of the coronavirus pandemic in Europe earlier this year. Macron’s meeting with Johnson follows his talks with Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Tune in to Sputnik's livefeed from outside No 10 Downing Street in London where French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson are expected to sit for talks.

The meeting comes as part of Macron's official trip to the UK dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Charles de Gaulle's address to the nation during World War II to defy the Nazis.

According to Johnson's spokesman, the two politicians are likely to touch upon the global effort against the coronavirus and the future of Britain’s relations with the EU.
