Military vehicles transporting coffins with coronavirus victims have been filmed in Bergamo, the north Italian city most affected by COVID-19. The trucks are believed to have been taking the bodies away from the town, as the local crematorium can only handle 25 bodies each day, provided it is working at full capacity, while at least 93 coronavirus-related deaths have recently been registered there.

Italy is currently the worst-hit country in Europe, with at least 41,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and a death toll of over 3,400, some 150 more than in China. Rome has had to implement strict quarantine measures to combat the infection and numerous other countries have imposed travel bans on Italy.
