The disease continues to spread across the world, with numerous European countries registering their first cases of the coronavirus infection. Outside of China, where it originated, major outbreaks of the infection are being reported in Iran, Italy, South Korea, and several other countries.

The first coronavirus case has been confirmed in Belarus, the Health Ministry announced on Friday. According to the statement, the patient is an Iranian citizen who recently arrived in the country from Baku, Azerbaijan.

The news comes after the infection spread to Lithuania, Austria, and several other countries earlier this week.
