Denmark has announced that a man has been diagnosed with coronavirus after coming back from Italy, Reuters reported, citing authorities. At present, the patient is believed to be under quarantine in his own home. Preliminary reports have not elaborated on the details of the case.
The news comes soon after several countries cautioned their nationals against making trips to the Apennines.
The new coronavirus, officially named COVID-19, was originally registered in central China at the very end of 2019 and has since spread to over 30 countries, prompting the World Health Organisation (WHO) to declare a global health emergency. At the moment, there are over 78,500 confirmed cases in mainland China, with the death toll from the virus reaching 2,744.
