On Thursday morning, at least 30 people were injured in a high-speed train accident which occurred in Ospedaletto Lodigiano, in the province of Lodi in northern Italy, according to the LCI media outlet.

The train's driver and a railway worker have reportedly died in the crash, which occurred at around 5:35 a.m. One person is in serious condition.
Rail service along the Milan-Bologna line has been suspended in both directions.

Dozens of emergency vehicles are at the site of the crash.
The causes of the accident are not yet known.
