    Two people were killed after a gunman fired shots near a synagogue in Halle, Germany, on Wednesday. A hand grenade was also thrown at a Jewish cemetery. One person was detained after the incident, the police say.

    A photo of the suspected gunman who attacked people near a synagogue in Germany's Halle has been released.

    Earlier, Spiegel reported that the suspected shooter had been identified as 27-year-old Stefan B. The agency also said that there were signs of anti-Semitism and ultra-right extremism in the attack.
