The bomb threat has caused local travel disruption as police cordoned off the train station in Frankfurt, Germany.

The ICE74 train, travelling between Zurich and Kiel with approximately 500 passengers on board, has been evacuated, with rail tracks 5 and 6 left blocked, the federal police of Koblenz said on Friday.

"A bomb threat about ICE74 [train] was submitted. Five hundred passengers were evacuated from the train safely and without any injuries," the police said on Twitter.

Police have urged civilians to avoid the blocked area.

Several hours later, the federal police added that their deployment was over and all passengers of the train could continue their journey.
