An editor at the UK newspaper paper The Daily Express told a journalist to take anti-Labour stance - instructions that were mistakenly emailed to the Party's press office.

The online newsite BuzzFeed on November 15 published an email provided by the British Labour Party purportedly showing instructions from an editorial figure at the Murdoch-owned newspaper The Daily Express that a journalist make clear to the readers that "Labour is NOT the solution" to the British economy's debt problems.

The journalist then mistakenly forwarded the instructions on to the Labour Party's press office while seeking comment on the issue of the UK's increasing debt-burden.

The instructions from the unknown editor directed the journalist to, "Put the boot into Corbyn (who wants to plunge us into even DEEPER debt)."

Jeremy Corbyn's supporters have long claimed that he has received hostile treatment from the British media, in particular from publications owned by Australian-born US media mogul Rupert Murdoch who owns publications accounting for at least 89.7 percent of daily circulation in the UK, according to a 2015 report on concentration of ownership.
