MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Friday, a car stopped in a restricted area near a police vehicle outside the Mall roundabout near Buckingham Palace in London. The police officers spotted a large bladed weapon in the car and went to arrest the driver. During the detention process, the 26-year-old man attacked the policemen injuring three officers and repeatedly shouting "Allahu Akbar." He was further arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000.
"The man [B] was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation or instigation of terrorism at 10:15hrs [09:15 GMT] today and he has been taken into custody," the statement read.

According to the statement, the police are currently searching an address in West London as part of the probe into the incident.
The investigation is being led by the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command.
