KIEV (Sputnik) — The Interior Ministry of Ukraine expands its cooperation with France in the field of civil society security and in countering cyberattacks, the ministry's press service said Friday, following the meeting between Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and French Ambassador to Kiev Isabelle Dumont.

"France and Ukraine are expanding cooperation in the field of the civil society security and in the area of countering cybercrime. I would like to thank you for your support and France's considerable contribution to the reform of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry," Avakov was quoted as saying in the ministry's statement.

According to the statement, the parties also agreed to organize joint training with participation of the French and Ukrainian sides.
