A total of 15 policemen have been injured in a large-scale scuffle with a drunken mob of 150 people in the eastern German city of Magdeburg, local media reported Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The incident, which took place late on Friday involved drunken football hooligans throwing stones and bottles at police, the Bild newspaper reported.

A total of 110 police officers were deployed on site and seven people were detained.

The motive behind the altercation has not been revealed.
