    UK Green Party Wins First Seat in Country's Parliament in Snap Election

    The UK Green Party won the first seat in the country's new House of Commons following the early general election, local media reported Friday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Sky News broadcaster, the party succeeded to win its seat in the Brighton Pavilion constituency.

    At the moment, the Conservative Party is leading with 307 seats, the Labour Party has already won 259 seats, the Scottish National Party secured 34 ones, Liberal Democrats have 12 seats, while independent candidates and the nominees of other parties have won elections in 22 more constituencies.
