    French President Macron Names New Cabinet

    French President Emmanuel Macron named his cabinet led by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on Wednesday.

    PARIS (Sputnik) — Mayor of Lyon Gerard Collomb was appointed interior minister, MEP Sylvie Goulard defense minister, and ex-defense minister Jean-Yves Le Drian foreign minister.

    The new cabinet will hold its first meeting on Thursday, May 18.
