The Daesh terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack on the Champs Elysees that killed one police officer and injured two others earlier today.

A news agency known to be associated with Daesh has published statements in a number of languages, including English and French, on its Twitter account saying that the attack was carried out by an "Islamic State fighter" name Abu Yusuf al-Baljiki, or "the Belgian."

French authorities have not named any suspect as of yet, and there are still conflicting accounts as to the number of shooters involved in the attack. One shooter was killed by police and Reuters reports that an arrest warrant has been issued for a second shooter. However, French authorities have not confirmed that there is a second shooter at large.
