The Kremlin spokesman said Turkey's expectations concerning the refugee issue were not met by the European Union.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The European Union has failed to live up to Turkey's expectations amid a crippling refugee crisis that forced Ankara to carry the burden almost entirely alone, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
