MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Berlin police said Tuesday 24 people injured in the truck attack on a Christmas market were dismissed from hospitals after receiving medical care.
"This gives us hope: 24 injured at Breitscheidplatz have already been allowed to leave hospitals and are back with their relatives," police tweeted.
Twelve people were killed and almost 50 injured when a truck ploughed through Christmas market stalls at Breitscheidplatz in downtown Berlin. The driver was reportedly a Pakistani who requested asylum in Germany almost a year ago.
