MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the media, the plane with migrants is due to take off from Frankfurt airport on Wednesday evening. The local authorities in Afghanistan are expected to take care of the migrants and return them to their homes.

The German government refused to confirm this information.

According to the EU Frontex agency, around 1,8 million migrants arrived to European Union in 2015, with almost 890,000 of them coming to Germany.
