    Transnistria Presidential Election Turnout Passes 25% Validity Threshold

    Head of the Election Commission said that turnout in the presidential election in Transnistria has passed the 25-percent validity threshold.

    TIRASPOL (Sputnik) The turnout in the presidential election in Transnistria has passed the 25-percent validity threshold, head of the Election Commission Elena Gorodetskaya said Sunday.

    "By 12.00, 28,25 percent of the voters have cast their ballots, which is enough to acknowledge the election valid," Gorodetskaya said.

    Six candidates are participating in the presidential election, which is taking place in Transnistria on Sunday.
