Poland Sees No Reasons for Concerns Over Trump's Election So Far - Ambassador
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – He added that Polish officials were not invited to inspect Russian drills except recent maneuver in Russia's Far East.

"The Russian side lacks transparency in the political sphere. The majority of confidence-building measures that had previously existed, for example, inspections during drills, were suspended. We constantly offer the Russian party to return to previous forms of mutual monitoring. Unfortunately, that does not happen," Marciniak said.

Poland regards strengthening Russian armed forces as a threat to its national security. Earlier on the day, Marciniak said the deployment of Russian Iskander-M mobile missile systems in the Kaliningrad region posed a threat for Poland adding that Warsaw was concerned over militarization of the Russain exclave.

Poland also introduced temporary border controls due to the NATO summit that took place in Warsaw on July 8-9 and the World Youth Day in late July. In August, Poland decided to leave in place the restrictions on the border.

Earlier on Friday, Russian Foreign Ministry's Third European Department Director Sergey Nechayev said that Moscow failed to understand why Poland had still not lifted movement restrictions on its border with Kaliningrad.
